Baby Jellyfish Poem by Mark Nichols

Baby Jellyfish

Will you love me if I'm too abstract?
Will you leave if I'm unclear?
Ants and lobster
Fish and melting clocks
Will you leave me if I'm weird?

Will you cry if I'm expressionist?
Will you try to disappear?
Dali, Bosch and Andy Warhol, girl?
Will you kiss me if I'm weird?

Turn the feeling over look inside
Non-sequitur
Baby jellyfish don't be afraid

Will you cringe if I go modernist?
Will you leave if I'm sincere?
Ants and lobster
Fish and melting clocks
Will you leave me if I'm weird?

Will you laugh if I go futurist?
Will pointillise and jeer?
Dada fruits and realism girl
Will you love me if I'm weird?

Turn the feeling over look inside
Non-sequitur
Baby Jellyfish don't be afraid
