Back-Climbing! Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Guess if I am unlettered
Imagine if I am unlearned
Do you think I am uninformed
May be you feel I am unawared

This is not backsliding
Neither is it back-solving
It is a bit of backstabbing
The most appropriate is back-climbing

When you shift the goal post
And you leave the players to roast
Even if you make for everyone a toast
What will be too obvious is just a boast

A step forward is progressive
Another backward is retrogressive
All actions show they are aggressive
When it continuously backward it is aggressively retrogressive

There is pain in going back
Even when you are leading a pack
In the war front, you lead an attack
When you stop and step back, you are climbing aback
