Lets go back into what we were
Back to where the love could last
Lets retrace our steps
And get back into our past
We can be perfect again
And take it all real slow
We can return to what we once had
And smile in every photo
If we walk along memory lane
Maybe we can get a taste of real love
The kind that lifts us to the clouds
And higher on up above
We can hold each other and laugh
And start everything all over again
Lets just go back to the beginning
When we could just hold hands
Back to the friendship
That made us what we were
Maybe if we look at the old pictures
The old emotions will stir
And then you can take my hand
The way you used to do
