Batman Love - Poem by richard ilnicki
blinad as a bat by love I can't see
anyone else but her.
dark shadows manifest immaterial
and hide the moon,
some magician's trick,
and all the while I keep bumping
into obvious objects,
of little or no consequence.
like a bat strapped unwillingly
to a post in the sun
whose logarithmic sound
full of sound and fury
falls on deaf ears,
i have been bound in a dark cave
by the sound of her voice.
The oscillating vibrations
coming from a throated cathedral
bounce off the chambers of my heart.
this is the miraculous way i see her;
she is sounding the depth of my love
with the sound of her voice.
