Battle River Poem by Mason Maestro

Battle River

Down in the prairies and surf of the silver
Across the snowy plains to Battle River
They've got wild of Alberta rose
They got the valley of Camrose
The kids play outdoor hockey like pros

Dark snowy nights watching tv with your papa
Echoes of CBC's Hockey Night in Canada
Made on ice and dodging the shivers
The south takes what the north delivers
Matters of pride and sides we take differs
