Be Quiet My Friend - Poem by eddie eidde

Be quiet my friend, keep still, hold tight
not a sound, not a whisper may you utter tonight
Hold in the words, keep in your fear, drown out the sighs, hold in the tears.
Allow not an emotion, nor hint of a thought... this is the way we hide our heart.
Hidden away we keep ourselves safe, away from the world...away from our fate.
Shove the sorrow, the hunger, all needs
avoid any actions that emotions may feed
Be quiet my friend, keep still, hold tight
not a sound, not a whisper may you utter tonight
allow no one to see past your sheild, avoid the pain that a shattered heart yields.
