Beat Of My Heart Poem by Lydia Cunningham

Beat Of My Heart

Music so loud,
The neighbors can hear it,
So loud to drown the sound,
Of the music im making,
Screaming and yelling from within,
The inner me wants out,
Masked by society and morals,
Buried in too many wrongs rather than rights,
Lost more battles than won,
Yet the inner me,
Is truly the happiest,
But depressed from societies norms.
