Beautiful Fate Poem by Jordan Hanley

Beautiful Fate

Rating: 5.0

It's a cold day

Rain smacking the pavement

Sunlight moments away

Drab, dark, and cloudy, on a Winter's day

Soon the awkward drops will stop, and the light will come to play

But for now we wait and watch till the rain goes away. beautiful light come gleam and shine

The rainbows a touch away and the day will dry

Beautiful, yellow, and orange, glistening in the sky

Come sweet light to the earth we pray. come sweet light make this a happy day

His sadness is vast

All he feels is pain

Darkness clouds him

He's stuck in the rain

Hold out your hand, he's slipping away!

Hold on tight! this might be his last day

To see the sun

To see the sky

Last thing he wants to hear, is goodbye

Hold on please, don't let go

Please... please... don't let go!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Beautiful fate was spawned from a deep and dark depression. I was at the lowest of low points. Scared, confused, angry, and sad. I was on the edge of ending my life and reaching out for something to hold on to. And so in my time of deep emotion this poem came about.
