Beautiful Nightmare

I hate to admit it,
but if i said i did not miss you,
i would be lying,
the first kiss,
drawn by the exquisite sun set,
flattered by the charming lies,
hesitant to think twice,
my first kiss,
standing in the center,
of his deep dark fantasy,
no affection...no love,
a beautiful nightmare,
holding the hourglass,
a time pusher,
the heartless basted,
only to please himself,
the thought of his death,
brings joy to my heart,
its like finding gold,
at the end of a rainbow,
every time i go to bed,
memories of your lips,
is all i can think about,
hard to believe,
but so very true,
my very first kiss
was only with you....

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
