Beautifully Broken Poem by Frances Pritchard

Beautifully Broken

Rating: 4.5

She smiles at a secret,
I see it as if I know.
I watch as she’s locked in,
I helped the girl to grow.

I believe and I can read her,
Although she keeps herself inside,
I know that there’s more to her,
All of what she seems to hide.

I’m sorry I’m not one,
I promise you are worth this.
But I can do but look,
And can dream only of your kiss.

She smiles at a secret,
I see it and I know.
I’m broken you are beauty,
No choice but to let go.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
He can't help her even though he tried. He almost had her come out of her shell but now she's out of his hands and he feels at a loss, knowing that he almost saved her and yet she's still broken. Cryptic Shit.
