The black is back
Long live the black
Come to stay for a while
Full of sneakiness and guile
The light is gone
Who needs the light?
It merely serves to bare
The imperfections out there
Pain rules over all
Welcome back the pain
Now at least I know where
I stand, oh why do I care?
Despair is right there
Come on in despair
With it comes the tears
It brings all the fears
Self hatred is next
That's all right
I never liked me anyway
So at peace I'll not stay
Is it always this dark
Wherever you live?
It always is over here
So I'll shed not a tear
Though the tears do press
On the back of my eyes
I will never let them win
They won't flow down again
Despair eats at my heart
Self hatred beats on my soul
Peace of mind it has eaten
My self worth it has beaten
I will drown in the tears
And scream at the pain
Hide my face in the black
Because it is back
