Because You Voted For Obama Poem by Liza Sud

Because You Voted For Obama

I will not read you any more,
Because you voted for Obama.
I will not write you any more.
Because you voted for Obama.

You don't love Russia (you don't have) ,
Because you voted for Obama.
You still want any grace from Christ? -
but you - ha! voted for Islama.

You were praying to Christ so hard -
that even voted for Obama.
Your treasured my poems so high -
you even voted for Obama

Gaddafi, Lybia destroyed,
Because you voted for Obama.
The Jewish have no Wailing Wall,
Because you voted for Obama.

Ukraine and Syria destroyed,
Because you voted for Obama.
Our ties with Europe broke off,
Because you voted for Obama.

'Arabian springs' in Middle East,
Because you voted for Obama.
And people don't know where to flee,
Because you voted for Obama.

You voted for the third world war,
Because you voted for Obama.
You are not my friend any more,
Say thank you for it - to Obama.

Elizaveta this poem breaks my heart. It breaks my heart, and over time I know you will realize I do not deserve this treatment from you. I have and still do honor you, I have from the beginning of our friendship and that honoring and friendliness gradually grew into a sense of love. I am going to put these emotions I feel for you in a deep place in my heart so they will not wither. And the burden of hurt I can bear. What pains me is the anger lacerating your soul. I can bear it, but I grieve that it fills you with the wrong passion. Lashing out at me will not help the world, but if it could use up all of the anger in by targeting me, hit me again and again until it is spent and you are empty of negative feelings. Then erase me from your consciousness so I can cause no more anger. Right now I am crying real tears but they are for you not for me. I don't care at this moment about me. I care about you anguished over the world, seeking who is to blame. The world and its slippery ways has overwhelmed the tiny but genuine love we shared. I don't want to let go of you but I will. And I know there are good angels who will somehow show you I am not the bad person you consider me now. The sadness of this loss chokes me. I can boldly affirm St. John knows the truth of all of this.
