Before The Ferris Wheel Crashes. Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Before The Ferris Wheel Crashes.

Rating: 5.0

I embrace the happy ending
Wherever it is found
That is a dreamer's right you know
I free a butterfly from a web
For once this is not how it ends
Before the Ferris wheel crashes
Before the storm comes our way
Before the knock on the door
Before the tears start to flow
I need the happy ending
The triumph, if only fleeting
That is a dreamer's desire you know
To be the arc in someone's smile
A stranger, a lover, a friend.

A really beautiful poem! Short and sweet! To be the arc in someone's smile - Oh, what a beautiful expression! (10)

We must never surrender to despair for long. Like everyone else I realize that the knock on the door can bring bad news and yet we can't live in fear or wallow in regret. Each moment lived in a positive light brings a triumph of good over evil, to be happy when so many are suffering is no sin. To be greedy is another story. We may brighten someones day by the smallest of efforts and they in turn may also pass along this joy that we have st in motion. We defy death and despair by embracing life and by making small gestures of decency and civility.

Oh, yes, to be someone's reason to smile...to be happy, to cause joy...and the positive of happy in someone's life who has had way too many negatives...love your words and the way you think!

Yes there is so much sadness and yet when the moments arrive we must be ready to enjoy them. We can't live lives of quiet desperation. We may taste the rough world and merciless circumstance but we must never let it become part of us or else what have we learned?

We know the dreamer's desire who shares happiness and we feel this in wonderful mood. Embracing happy ending is definitely amazing....10

Thank you Kumarmani. This is happiness too. To imagine that on the other side of the world in another culture with different customs some things are universal. Wishing you many blessings and a hope that you and your loved ones are happy and that your circle of friends is forever expanding.
