Before The Statue Of Abraham Lincoln Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Before The Statue Of Abraham Lincoln

Before the statue
Of Abraham Lincoln
Paused I
To pay my respect.

Abraham Lincoln
So noble, good and gentle,
So well in judicature and constitution
I saw it from.

The sculpture stood it erect
With a book of the constitution
Into his hands
And he in the stride of own.

A federalist, a republican,
A constitutionalist,
A humanist, an emancipator,
A democrat.
