Believers Are Works In Progress! Poem by Denis Martindale

Believers are works in progress, as pilgrims need to be,
First finding the Lord's forgiveness, still found at Calvary.
God was angry at us until our Saviour came to town,
Until our Saviour climbed that hill and there to wear a crown.
The King of Kings died on His Cross, and all His Blood was shed,
Yet God determined that such loss must not stay with Christ dead.
Two thousand years have almost gone, yet still the Saviour lives,
Amazing grace has carried on through pardons that God gives.
Believers are works in progress, no matter, young or old,
Still finding hope and happiness in the greatest story ever told!
