Berayal Of The Worst Kind Poem by Bailey Bailey

Berayal Of The Worst Kind

Rating: 4.5

He: What are you thinking of my dear?

She: If a child can live without fear.

He: You know God's grace lives in you.

She: I wish I could start my life anew.

He: Your heart within is the same as mine.

She: I would give up any happiness I could find
if a child could be safe and warm
snuggled within their mother's arms.
To never know the pain that I went through
and kept it hidden from the world I knew.

He: My heart was torn from within my soul
to know you were mistreated so
I wish I could take your pain upon myself
and free your spirit from it captured self
I want to take your sorrow away
and give you happiness every day.

She: It is too late, I can never be free
That memory will always linger with me.

He: I cannot say I understand your pain

She: I only know it brought me shame

He: My love cannot erase that memory?

She: Only God's hand can set me free

(She to herself)

He would sneak into my room at night
pretending a father's love, he would hold me tight
He would touch me in places he should have never
He stole my childhood from me forever

He: Is there anything I can do
To take this misery from you?

she: Just love me and forgive me
no matter what I do
But I cannot return that love to you

(Silence)

For all the children who suffered
I wish I could take you pain.
