Beveled 2 Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Beveled 2

Muse,
Against the walls of love;

Narrow beveled,
Windows for slits of light.

The delight,
With the insight;

The structure,
With the muse of the picture;

Outside the walls,
Calls of peace;

All day long,
All along;

Constructed,
Instructed,

Supporting beams inserted,
Into the walls;

Ledges,
Edges,

Sledges,
Pledges,

Selected,
Instructed.

Boards made of cedar,
Roof-works of beams;

Cedarboads! !
Lined up;

Inside,
With the muse of the inner walls.
