Beware Poem by Ruth L. Rivers

Beware

Rating: 5.0

Aren’t Emotions fickle friends
With their wandering ways
And their subtle serenades
Jumping from one terrific trend to the next

How cautious one should see
Them in a laughable light
Change, as they drunkenly do,
From the early hours of the day to the night

Most wary one should stay
Of the Emotions battering beliefs
About their sensitive seeming’s
In case ones poignant perspective rue its own

Lesson be taught; now known:
These perspective fiery friends
Will change others bias beliefs
To fit into their own shifting state of mind
