Beyond The Loving Season Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Beyond The Loving Season

Falling leaves below gray disease
Torments blue skies into submission
Precipitating redundancies,
As the laden moisture defeats the air
Paying respects for a once vibrant light
Dazed. As the day becomes a mass grave of disdain

So now I play my own dirge
Mourning the sun towards it's seasonal death
Distress deep inside this restless chest
As the passing summer flaunted it's love carelessly
Evoking doubt upon tomorrow's dreams
Over glorifying a nightmare's clairvoyance
Rusting the spirits of this former self's gleaming

Where can this soul reside?
Barren in it's ever named essence
Giving an improper burial to the green
Stuck within a northern virus
Spread by the virtues of judgmental sources
Scathed by western heads turned towards arrogance
Marching on, Looking past any realism ahead

Nature, She is always beautiful
No matter how much she changes
Must give my all to who she is
As I walk amongst the graces of her unconditional love
Reigning smiles as I pass by all oblivious endeavors

But what about the flesh?
Still having feelings for what is not here, There
Confusion, . A manipulative malevolence
Haunting this heart towards convalescence
Towards a void that looms morose upon fabled ventures

Mulling over despair
Is it or is it not comfortable for this worst for wear?

Nature, She accepts me
Never does this beauty pass judgment upon any false premonitions
As she uses her own intuition
To help guide me into a once uncertain unknown, Wishes fulfilled

Now, I must reward her
With faith stronger than ever before
In my search for beautiful endeavors
Amongst the celebration of an optimistic reality
I prophesize that soon true love will finally be revealed

Even though the warmth will be leaving for awhile
I know I can still feel it within these ambitions
Beyond what I have ever felt before

I believe, I truly believe love is coming for me
For myself towards a journey towards
A living paradise dressed in green

Love, My soul is now set at ease
My love, I truly believe you are indeed coming for me

Beauty, May our love become fearless and free

A heart should never be turned into a bounty
Unconditional love, Now this is something I strongly believe in

Beauty, May you go beyond the miles with me
