Bifrost Poem by Scott J. Shepard

Bifrost

"The hardest thing in life to learn
is which bridge to cross and which bridge to burn"
David Russel

To span your feelings,
and pursue what impressions pass.

How then, to quiet a giant at rest,
and prevent such a bridge from collapse?

To guide your emotions,
as bedrock paths, thoughtful or unsound.

Resolve in a way, a theoretical debate
To stand tall or to fall to the ground?

though at times the giant awakens,
with moments, discovering power.

Hear in the distance, a conceptual battle,
as its footsteps grow even louder.
