One thousand angels gathered
As God whispered in thier ears,
Another soul has joined us
As his loved ones shed thier tears.
An army of angels departed
To bring a hero home,
To a place he can rest peacefully
Where he will never be alone.
A man of such integrity
A man so very proud,
A man to be respected
In the place he is right now.
Wrapped in angels protective wings
He tips his hat goodbye,
As he floats on up to heaven
And through the clouds formed in the sky..
