Birds In The Sky Poem by annabel inman

Birds In The Sky

Many days have gone by since you left; many tears have fallen since your death
Remembering you is sometimes hard, but not remembering you would be harder
I can’t help but laugh, sigh, and cry, for you were a comedian and full of life
When I think about you, I often get sad, but then I remember, you were my dad
How could I feel such sadness for all the greatness that I had
I was one of the lucky ones; you were the world’s greatest dad
I’m only missing you and that will never go away,
When I see birds in the sky, they make me think of you, I watch them all day
I will always cherish the good memories and our last final days
That I got to spend with you, I’m so lucky in that way
Even though soon I think my tears with stop
My forever loving devotion for you daddy will never halt!
