Birth Better Beliefs Poem by Pasomi Mucha

Birth Better Beliefs

To the man who, sadly, daily thinks,
That he, on earth, is of little worth,
With that thought, his spirit sinks,
And with other men, he loses links,
For his own sake, may better thoughts his heart and mind birth.

To the man who, proudly, daily feels,
That in all earthly things he is the best,
With others, he rudely, impatiently deals
With self-praise, his foul mouth loudly squeals,
For his own sake, may reality rise and strike and cause his pride to rest.

Dear ones, let's not be in fruitless haste,
To judge ourselves one way or the other way,
Let us choose to build and nurture relations, not waste,
Let it never be that to us, others' bitterness is traced,
Let us, moment by moment, word, deed, thought carefully weigh.
