Bittersweet Melody Poem by Korupi Murrenus

Bittersweet Melody

What is this gossamer melody that toys?
The very thought alone that allays?
I sense your presence through this dull way.
The dullest of pleasures were to make one's sorrow day.

I never thought you'd take that toll.
The light that bleeds from the darkness of one's soul.
But still sometimes at night, I awaken and cry.
Waiting for one's soul, to come back alive.

Still forth onward forth, up off of my knees.
I listen to one's dull sweet and sweet melodies.
It's graceful, so calming, the soul through my eyes.
Cherished and listened to, beyond these blue skies.

I never thought there would come a day,
When begonia kissed my sorrow away.
But now I see this was your plan all along,
Now I shall forever continue singing one's song.
