Black Patch Melbourne

Sad:
the 'Mel' in 'Melbourne'
some say 'Mal',
and 'Mal' means 'bad'.

'Melbourne' lives on our tongues;
so does 'hilly bourn'
from ode 'To Autumn'.

Funny:
your 'patch' is your 'bourn',
and 'Mel' means 'black'
or 'honey'.
