Black Swans In The Night Sky Poem by Francis Duggan

Black Swans In The Night Sky

I heard the black swans in the clear moonlit sky
As above the Town to the lake they did fly
To me they do have such a musical song
You hear them once and you never get them wrong.

Black swans in the night sky how sweetly they sing
As to the nearby lake in a small flock they wing
Their voices in the moonlight so lovely to hear
As they sing to each other that's how 'twould appear.

The song of the black swans one cannot mistake
As they sing their way home to the nearby Town Lake
Their dark silhouttes passing in the moonlight
For large birds they do seem so graceful in flight.

With the wonders of Nature nothing to compare
And the beauty in Nature it never is rare
And the song of the swans is a thing to enjoy
As they wing their way home to the Town Lake nearby.
