Blessed For The Sun Poem by Kevin Patrick

Blessed For The Sun

Rating: 5.0

Blessed for the sun
It gives us light to love
and energy to serve
For the messanger above

Blessed for the earth
From where lifes riches grow
So that our labours bare
The harvest that we sow

Blessed be the beasts
That tame us in our place
and burdened with our rule
We prey on nature grace

Blessed be our brothers
Who teach goodwill and greed
That life is made to suffer
In war that we call peace

So break bread and share in joy
Mock your fears against the void
Live and love as if we are one
And blessed all beneath the sun
