Blessings May Tarry Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Blessings May Tarry

God though countless blessing tarry
Till life, draws me inside
Let my soul Your Son now marry
And stay a faithful bride

Deep within Lord, hear my prayer
Let self nor sin sever
Life’s blessings now I strive to share
With You Jesus, forever

Through Your blood shed upon the tree
On You I will depend
Through hope I have for victory
Beyond life’s final bend

When Heaven’s door’s clear in sight
Embraced with love and grace
With true life’s crown, dressed all in white
I’ll see my Saviour’s face

With wisdom, knowledge as Your heir
Power as none before
Precious treasures everywhere
Within my Father’s store

Who before, could ever have known
That such a one as me
Would stand elect, at Heaven’s throne
Complete, sinless and free

To live, to walk, to even fly
Beyond concept’s extreme
Deeper, further, with God on high
Than one could ever dream

Because of my faith in Jesus
My future will never dim
Because True Love will please us
Who’ve shown true love for Him …..
