you come between me
and my eyes

must be why,
doctor said,

i am going blind,
must be why,

people tell me
i can't see,

funny because
i see lights

but there's only you,
behind me

is my life,
getting smaller,

seems you've gotten
big enough,

must be why,
i blacked out

and saw stars,
i can't sleep

doctor said,
i gotta take it easy,

seems you've taken
over my heart,

must be why
it's hard to breathe

must be why,
i stammer and trip

funny because,
you come between me

and death,
and yet,

i could about die
with your kisses
