Ever been crabbing from a pier or a mud bank in Maryland, Delaware Perhaps from a beach or a boat The blue crabs totally unaware That you’d use your hands or a net Afterwards, quenched your thirst with a root beer float Male blue crab known as Jimmy, have you ever met? Blue crabs are crustaceans willing to sacrifice limbs to avoid capture Limbs later regenerated Might leave us enraptured

I have been crabbing in Walberswick, Suffolk, but not in Maryland! Then we take the buckets down to the beach, and bet on who will get to the waves first. Those crabs who ate too much bacon were the slowest. Nice one, nice memories, thanks Ana, xxPenny |
