Blue Evening Poem by Josie Di SciascioAndrews

Blue Evening

tonight
the lake is a blue daiquiri

my heart a raw wound
waiting to be assuaged
by wind and waves

as if they could
cauterize the hollow
blood inlets
of my unrequited longing
Buddha, Jesus,
you
walking on water
at last
stretching out your hand
to save me
