Blue Skies Poem by Fancy Reverie

Blue Skies

Rating: 4.5

The wind was still, the sun was warm
I sighed and looked beside me
No one was there but memories
I wanted to cry but cannot
For you wanted me to forget and laugh
The wind was still and my eyes were warm
I wanted to follow your trail and win you back
But the path you took closed its gates
And all that I can do now
Is stare at the blue skies
And dream of yesterday's smiles.

Love is a spiritual experience and a voyage of pure bliss that affects one profoundly. It's also whimsical and temperamental, appearing unannounced and may leave without warning. An insightful depiction of sadness, loneliness, and distress that oppresses one on the exit of love, well articulated and nicely penned from heart in poetic diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Fancy. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

recalling our fondness for a past love and, reminiscing, wishing we could go back and experience it all over again.. its a common experience.. yet, life is not so easy to 'tame'.. thanks for sharing, Fancy. And Welcome..
