Blue Tea-For Me-In Abu Dhabi Poem by Luke Easter

Blue Tea-For Me-In Abu Dhabi

Rating: 5.0

It is as hot as her fervent eyes,
The smile depicts she’s also wise,
So soothing are melodious words,
Sweet like chirps of nesting birds.

Securing as though cupped in hands,
Branches on high far away from man,
Sipping morning tea from a royal brew,
Softly through loving lips, aroma so true.

Colors, colors, colors the world has many,
Mixed, matched or shaded there are plenty,
A rainbow masterpiece no artist should claim,
The one she loved then and now aren’t the same.

However, one thing is constant, forever, always there,
The love never waivers for her cute cuddly teddy bear,
Although there is no other breath, she is never alone,
Stuffed securely in her arms is peace enough for Joan.

There are only four shades she really wanted to wear,
Blue, black, white & brown, does any match her hair?
Innocent 18 she wore pink, green, maybe some other,
Just 25 when she had to wear red and yellow colors.

Today we find her at the tender age of a fleeting 29,
From all the crayons listed above which is on her mind?
It’s something not already listed, which do you choose?
A rose by any other name is still a rose this one is blue.

Residing in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; aka U.A.E.,
Halfway around the world from Cleveland, Ohio and me,
Through the love of modern poetry we connected and met,
One of the many inspirational advantages from the Internet.

Joan my Sister in poetry, may the Lord always richly bless,
So you are protected, constantly receiving God’s loving best,
Although we are thousands of miles, stars, deep waters apart,
One click of the mouse locks us in rhyme, uniting our hearts.

w/Joan D.H.
