Bonds Poem by Spencer Zimmerman

Bonds

Direct reflection of expectations
Lost in the static of creating havens
Like knowing the self through others
Would lead me further from blunders

Those bonds between are fastened strong
Love being the component that holds all along
Even through strife likened, the soul a dark cloud
Should many, as lovers, seek to turn it around

Peace perhaps caresses a swiftly motioned path
And gently embraces those filled with love in their laugh
Moments of lives lived shared as the finest of memories
With all their souls becoming much greater in transparency

Not to forget the dark storms approaching wrathful among solace
Embedding itself deep within the feeble, malnourished conscious
Its wrath so dark, ever it deepens its veiled depths
Down until it consumes the entirety of one’s breath

Love being the light to give sight amongst tunnels
A path to escape before darkness chance rebuttals
Fortitude in those that emerge from their pits
When they find love to hold them through the thick of it
