To Judge Poem by Spencer Zimmerman

To Judge

Saying ignorance is bliss
Would be contradicting at best fit
Cutting things down to size
Can lead the self to realize

It requires the courage to be strong
Having the criteria all along
Deprived of the simple thought
A complex to leave one lost

Say if I stay with ignorance
And sleep within its warmth
I would live within its pacified walls
Losing all the preciousness of depth

And when that is believed to be okay
Thinking ignorance may have a part to play
Acceptance becomes the only way
But to ignore is no way to behave

But why so certain is the last
When nothing has come to past
We may sit within our shallow minds
And delve further into our pastime

These conversations within ourselves
Deep and emotional with inward swells
Is the most important of all conversed
Because this speech uncovers personal worth
