Book Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Book

Stolen of life I am,
said a soul or two.
I stare a murderous one,
for he is untrue.
Life and its babies,
are in this very book.
I read further,
caring not if I’m aloof.

Time does not count
yet freezing it is fun.
I imagine, that’s all I know
hey Reality; here’s a gun.
In these pages,
I am in love and alive.
In these pages,
I think I was your wife.
