Books Poem by Sarah Rose

Books

When I enter a book I am entering another land
A land with knights and assassins
A land with princes and princesses, kings and queens
And happy endings

I can shed my skin
Become someone else
Enter a dream world where I become
A queen
A warrior
A servant
Anything I wish

Diving into a book
Jumping through the pages
Lets my anger, my sadness
Melt away like the snow

One day I hope I can find my own story
With it's own happy ending
