Eternal Dream Poem by Sarah Rose

I had a dream where I was searching for you
It was a endless dream
I followed your footprints in a pure white snow
I followed you through the ages

The snow ended and I found the sea
Where your footprints disappeared
I cried into the sea
My tears mixed with the water

You the appeared to me
With white angel wings
You reached your hand towards me
And I reached my hand towards you

Before I touched your hand
The shadows came for me
And took me away from you
They gave me black wings

Many centuries past
Yet I never forgot you
When I was about to give up
You appeared before me

You took my hand
And led me to the light
As the shadows burned away
My wings turned to white

You turned and smiled at me
And I smiled at you
I know we would be together
For all eternity
