Born For Books Poem by Laura arwen

Born For Books

I'm certain to
be born for
reading many books
The only job
I can do
is reading books
because it's easy
and travel without
paying money
I forget everything,
everybody and the
time when I'm
with books
Books tell different
adventures
My attention and
my money are
only for books
There's nothing better
than being in
the company of
books
Books are my
strength and my
weakness at the
same time
I'm dependent of
books because I'm
proud to smell
them
I adore having
a lot of
books because they
are my fortress
I was really
born for books
because it is
my constant obsession
I kill for
books and I
fight for them
I'll die for
books
I'm one with
books
They are my
secret remedy to
escape real life

Hurray! Your paen to books and reading is altogether seconded by me. Each day I set down the book I'm reading very gently, and on my knees I crawl to the bookcase and kiss my books for being things of wonder and beauty and total fidelity. I know on the basis of this poem, you won't consider my behavior dangerous or deluded, because it's only the poetry that makes me mad.
