Born In The Cool Mist Of Dawn Poem by Deborah Jeffress

Born In The Cool Mist Of Dawn

Rating: 5.0

Born in cool mist
of dawn
Finding our legs
and strength
We frolic in
The noon day sun
What fun, what fun!

Then as dusk draws
near
We hear
In the distance
The Predator
Come to claim
All those
with a name!

At first it's just a
rustle in the bushes
Then darting
here and there
He shows his face
and
Staring at you,
Begins to pace.

You might get lucky
Throw him off
for a while...
Now is the time
Yes, now is the time
My friends
To savor each moment
With a smile
With a smile!
