Born To Die Poem by Irene D..

Born To Die

Rating: 5.0

Every second and every moment consumed in the rush
Fogging up to the vagueness of mind; slow, slow, hush...
Why do boxes under trees lie?
The beginning of the day- when one was born to die.

A virgin chosen, love unbroken, travelled in the night
A man chosen, love unbroken, following the light
Labour in long, the world is heard her cry
In a manger, newborn birth, he was born to die.

Shepherds by angelic voices they were bide
Men of wisdom, trying travels, a star their only guide
Bright and cold the star warms the deep sky
There for worship of the one born to die.

Hail the king and praise his name
Come to break the chains of shame
Just like him, we were born to die
Because of him, we will die to live alive.
