The stage now set in black
Hard wood floors echo cracks

The quiet pressures my ears
As in the silence I strain to hear

My soft steps ring aloud
For no longer is there a crowd

I feel the beat steady slowed
It’s all I can do to keep control

Moving slowly along my way
I can hear what you can not say

Coming to you where you stand
Knowing All always love you Man

You sense me there open your eyes
Your heart elates you seem surprised

Hand in hand we take the stage
You know with me you can be brave

I turn to you open the union
You step in close the circle fusion

And with a nod the music starts
No longer dancing in the dark

We step in time with practice perfect
Inside you wonder if we’re worth it

And still you can not break away
Because you need it everyday

And unaware the music stopped
Together as one we slowly rock

I step in close to give you a hug
You’re overwhelmed by my pure love

I whisper softly in your ear
“I told you man, I’d always care”

The stage again is set to black
And before too long we’ll both be back
