Both Sides Of Red Poem by Cyrus Josis

Both Sides Of Red

Red,
Red,
Signaling brutality,
Savoring morality,
But in its stead,
Red like roses,
prickly,
Bleeding out sick-ly,
Red staining
Your clothes,
straining
Your arteries
Red,
In need of surgery,
Flow through like
Nurseries

For life,

persistently
Paining you,
Coming through,
With an
Entire slew
Of negative emotions,
Like insanity in motion.
But then,
Ask the question,
Why so negative,
Can't it be positive?
Cause,
Red has been through
Compression in the
bad
So that's
the
Light they
See red in stat.

Yet,
Red is different.
Dark light,
Where there is no
sight.
Bright Light,
Perspectives bent,
To look at
In retrospect,
You will see
The color
Red in a
Different field
With respect.

To look at
With your mind,
incongruously
Is difficult,
Cause differentially,
The thinking
cult
Of your mind.
Really seems
To be in a bind
With sinking
negativity.

Red,
Red,
Signaling brutality,
Savoring morality,

But in its stead,
Red like rose-s,
prickly,
Bleeding out sickly,
Red staining
Your clothes,
straining
Your arteries
Red,
In need of surgery,
Flow through like
Nurseries

For life,
persistently
Paining you,
Coming through,
With an
Entire slew
Of nega-tive emo-tions,
Like in-san-ity in mo-tion.
But then,
Ask the quest-ion,
Why so ne-gat-ive,
Can't it be pos-it-ive?
Cause,
Red has been through
Com-press-ion in the
bad
So that's
the
Light they
See red in stat.

Red can mean
Good some-time-s,
But it can
Be found
In some
Revolting crimes.
Bound by
history,
It can seem to
Have zero
auxiliary.
Bolting to
Quick conclusions,
Leading to
Hystericized fusion,
Of ideas and ideals.
