Both You And I Realize Poem by anne beau

Both You And I Realize

as you are so lovingly done with me,
feel free to discard my life upon the sidewalk
next to yesterdays gum wrappers,
and mauled upon by the heels of stillettos.

and as you have so beautifully sucked the marrow from my bones,
waste away your time with my borrowed minutes,
and disregard my existence.

because both you and I realize,
you don’t reap what you sow,
and all of life ends with creation...

a new beginning.
