Bound By Arrangement Poem by Neil Solan

Bound By Arrangement

I've got a pocket full of co-ordination
And a radar of responsibility;
Snow-glazed trees pointing eastwards
And an invisible ring
Sending me home,
Squeezing my cheeks
And keeping my eyes straight ahead.
'What was that that she just said? '

Lines of pretty girls
Enticing me with words;
'You've not got a ring, so ring me',

No, no, no you've got it all wrong!
I have an INVISIBLE ring right here,
While the proprietor is at home,
Paying me no attention at all.
