Bracing For The Storm. Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

Bracing For The Storm.

Burning through the glorious glimpse of the hell yet to come.
With a single whisper watch it all come undone.
Minds running and racing to find cure.
Oh baby will I endure?
In these love sick moments.
A missing you.
A clinging too.
A longing for.
Words continue to bite right on through
A latch locked on my heart that has rusted away.
It's now free to once again go crazy.
With holding a bag of amber that glows a purple hue.
If only it was enough.
Then the screams on que come back again.
So many memories in a single tear.
Summer is all but gone, but I still feel sun breathing down upon my back.
Putting some shades on, trying kick back and relax.
But something won't let me.
I thought my time of grieving was over.
Picking through the leaves of dying clover.
Hoping for a little luck.
Not much of a gambling man.
But if the time is right, I will give another go.
Instead absolute mind numbing absense in all the ways that matter.
Devoid of all emotion, a wall that sorrounds me.
And I'm tearing it down brick by brick.
Hands blistered and bruised.
A working man.
Time so precious.
Yet it is wasted.
At least on you.
Oh no darling I'm done.
The wolf has finally come out.
Hunting down my prey.
Why is it I know exactly to say.
Like a lure cast out into the bay.
I'm waiting for a bite.
It doesn't have to be perfectly beautiful.
Give me the one with the scars.
I like both a challenge, and someone who willing go far.
Not some afternoon fling.
A deep meaningful relationship.
Someone with passion and can hold her own.
Even when it's so hard doing it all alone.
I will make the nesscary sacrifices for someone I can truly trust.
Light reflects off water, and the wind picks up.
Going from hot to cold.
Blue to black, and a flickering off in the distance.
A storm is coming and I finally can say I'm ready.
Ready as I can be without you.
So if you see me struggling to keep my head above water, offer a hand and watch how I change, pulling upon the strength with in.
