Break It Apart Poem by Dawn Novus

Break It Apart

Rating: 4.0

Against the grain I go for you

You who cannot dare to see a light of a new day

What I ask scares you so?

Change your sight and you change your light

Change you now, now change you

All ill gain carved from pain

Made water turn to paper rain

Grey matter greed defamed

Now take eyes and in love re-train

No focus on pain, the pain, the pain

Take sight of yours to light

Place gaze steady and fast

Now and forever on the mast

In the shape of all the heart

The heart that came through this dark

Still and keep it steady there

There now train to keep it there

And watch the sky that yearns to burn

Burn for love each and turn on turn

Shower man with light

Forever long, forever bright.

The pain, the pain - forever long, forever bright - Sounds like something You would write. Thanks for posting, Dawn.
