Breathe Poem by ADAM WARD

Breathe

Rating: 4.5

A deep breathe, the window a deep mist,
what has happened, an unexpected twist.
The reflection, a sight of deep sadness,
used to a life of pure happiness.
My eyes close,
once again time froze.
The memories haunt me,
the thought, there you'll be.
A hug in public, holding your hand,
the first time at the beach, walking along the sand.
Chest feeling tight,
head going light.
Need to breathe, need a new start,
the body cannot work without the heart.
That energy, that attitude towards life,
that's what she fell in love with, that's why she wanted to be my wife.
She said we were two different people, she wanted a different thing,
after that, sleepless nights as I stared at her engagement ring.
Lying there on our bed,
constant thoughts running through my head.
Sometimes people change, maybe for the greater good,
after all this time I finally understood.
the window clears,
a new refection appears.
No more sadness, no more tears.
The sun bursts through the glass, the warmth on my skin,
I am back, and life will now begin.

Awesome poem. ‘Trailing clouds of glory do we come from God, Who is our home’, Through various stages of life, Like a wanderer we roam. From newly found love of toys We move to a study-game pressure dome, When the love buds bloom A bohemian sense of incompleteness combs. In kisses and hugs Soul breathes to soul, One steals into another soul And become a perfect whole. Songs of soul you sing so well All its mysteries you can tell.
