Bright Poem by Marisa Horn

Bright

Tell me about that day where we laid our bodies by the lake
and allowed our bodies to be seen in the forest
Oh it was dark, and the owls wide awake, the birds were still chirping
Until they lost all their voices.
A song ends at one point, and people die everyday,
but when im with you I believe death will wait.
We were laughing, our bodies as one, and the night felt like day,
and the stars were the sun.
It’s true that we hate the dark, but we are strong,
and our love brings us together till death do us part.
