Broiled Fish Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Broiled Fish

Broiled fish and honey,
Can a cock crow and not be heard? !
Black as coal and red as rose,
Salted with love for the light to shine in the darkness!
And like a voice being heard from afar.
Broiled fish and honey,
Green as leaves and salted with love;
And let him or her who reads understand this muse,
For the cock will crow again to our hearing.
